Specialist counselling
Specialist counselling for parents and families navigating fertility issues, grief after miscarriage, termination, termination for medical reasons, stillbirth, neonatal death, infant death or the death of a child.
“You do not have to make your grief smaller here.”
The death of a baby or child, or the loss of the hoped-for path to parenthood, can change the shape of a life. This kind of parental grief can be complex, isolating and difficult for others to understand.
Keren Ludski has more than 20 years' experience providing pregnancy loss counselling, baby loss counselling and child loss counselling for bereaved parents and families. Her work spans infertility grief, miscarriage, termination, TFMR, stillbirth, neonatal, infant and child death.
Many bereaved parents describe feeling isolated, even when they are surrounded by people who care. Others may not know what to say, may avoid the loss, or may not understand that grief after pregnancy, baby or child loss can continue to shape everyday life, identity, relationships and the future.
This counselling space is one where your baby or child can be spoken about, your grief does not need to be explained away, and your experience can be met with care, steadiness and understanding.
Pregnancy, baby and child loss can take many forms. You are welcome to bring the experience that is true for you, whether it is recent, long held, visible to others or carried quietly.
Pregnancy, baby and child loss can bring grief that is both deeply personal and often poorly understood by others. Parents may be grieving not only the person who has died, but the future they imagined, the identity they were forming, and the assumptions they once held about safety, family and life.
Counselling offers space to speak honestly about the loss, the ongoing relationship with the baby or child who died, and the impact of grief on identity, relationships, work, parenting and everyday life.
Counselling does not ask you to move on or leave your grief behind. It offers steady support to help you make sense of what has happened, understand your responses and find ways to live with grief over time.
A place to speak about what happened, what was lost, and the baby, child or hoped-for future that continues to matter.
Support to make sense of guilt, anger, longing, numbness, anxiety, shock or feeling changed by the experience.
A space where you do not have to protect others from your grief, explain why it still matters, or carry the experience alone.
Support to find steadiness and meaning without being asked to minimise, rush or leave your grief behind.
Keren has provided clinical support to bereaved parents for more than 20 years and has developed and delivered extensive training for professionals working with pregnancy, baby and child loss. This experience informs a counselling approach that is steady, thoughtful and deeply respectful of each person's grief.
This work makes room for the complexity of parental grief: love, longing, anger, guilt, numbness, tenderness, fear, memory and the ongoing relationship with the baby or child who has died.
